ALPHA : URGENTLY Needs Your Help!!

Calling all servants of Christ

We still need home groups or groups of people/friends to offer to come down and cook a dinner for our lovely Alpha guests.

It's simple and fun, and a great way to serve the Lord. Have you done an Alpha course before and did someone cook for you?

Why not give something back.

Offers should be directed to Noelle Rentsch on 0415 606 284 or noelle.rentsch@gmail.com.

We particularly need people to serve this Thursday (29 July).

Men Meeting The Challenge 2006 Conference : Saturday, 2 September 2006

The Men Meeting the Challenge Conference is run by Men for Christ Ministries. We aim to help Aussie men reach their mates for Christ in a rapidly changing society.

We live in a culture where different faiths, lifestyles, and world-views compete for the allegiance of Aussie men and their families. Today, everyone’s point of view has equal validity and is given the right to be heard. How does the unchanging truth of the eternal gospel transform men in this new context? What are our churches doing to bridge the gaps between diverse cultures and reach out to different groups? How do we change our churches so that they attract rather than repel Aussie men?
Our competitive culture ensures that the quest for wealth and status remains at the top of the national agenda. Many Aussie men find mateship in our celebration of sport or at the local club. In recent years, the ‘land of the long weekend’ has become the ‘land of the retirement package’. We work longer hours and hope that a carefully planned and funded retirement will bring us the peace we all yearn for. How do Christians speak to Aussie men caught in the relentless drive for money, security, and status?

The Men Meeting the Challenge Conference draws together speakers who are well known in the Anglican Church and in the wider Christian community. Each speaker is committed to this conference as one means of transforming Aussie men so that they, through God’s grace, can transform others for Christ.
