Brad Foye : Update & URGENT Prayer Request

Message from Vanoosh ... update on Brad ...

For those that know Brad, please pray for him URGENTLY ... in the last week or so, Brad has been suffering from severe back pain and pain in his "good" right leg ... he has since discovered that he has a problem with a bulging disc in his spine which may require surgery. This is as a result of him favouring his right leg while his broken left leg continues to heal slowly, which has now impinged on his spine!

Please pray for the following:

** A full healing in his left leg including full healing of any blood clotting
** A full healing of his back pain and right leg pain and good sleep and rest
** Good responses to all the treatment he is receiving
** Patience and peace regarding why this is happening and the frustrations he is experiencing
** A good outcome with the Specialist appointment on Monday

Praise God for:

** His Brother Rod and His Mum & Dad for all their efforts in helping him
** That he remains in fairly high spirits despite all these set backs

Thanks

Beyond Our Walls - Christmas Event : Saturday, 16 Dec 06

At Christmas time it's great to celebrate the birth of Jesus with family and friends. Beyond Our Walls takes our festivities to older people who are unable to make it to church to celebrate with us. This is a great opportunity to sing some carols, have a chat and read the Bible with older people. Christmas can be a time of year when elderly people feel particularly lonely and detached from their community, so why not come along and join in? Please contact Julia Mackie for more information, or turn up on Saturday 16th December at either or both of the following places:

** War Vets Nursing Home, Veterans Parade, Collaroy Plateau at 10.30am

** Wesley Heights Nursing Home, Birkley Road, Manly at 1.30pm

Look forward to seeing you there!

Hope Honey : A Christmas Gift that keeps on Giving

Christmas is coming and Michael has the perfect present for you to give your friends and family ... you could even think about giving your office buddies a jar and a pamphlet on AAP!

Hope Honey is locally produced honey and 100% of money from sales goes to AAP partner Bridge of Hope to give a helping hand to people in poverty.

So far money has gone towards BOH printing costs and labels, plus $200 towards loans and since mid-year all money(not just profit after expenses) goes toward micro enterprise development.

Hope Honey sells for $4.00 per jar which is then sent in total (ie. $4.00) to Bridge of Hope:

www.bridgeofhope.org.au

Michael recently extracted 90kg of honey and bottled it ready for sale.

You can email Michael at: michael@stmattsmanly.org.au
Or call through and order 0411 443 752

Prayer for Brad

Our Brother in Christ and good friend, Brad, had a terrible accident today ... he fell off a 25m cliff this morning (Thurs, 2 Nov) and had to be air lifted to Royal North Shore Hospital by helicopter.

Praise and Thank God that he is alive!! He has sustained some major injuries - he has broken his leg in 5 places, however, thankfully, nothing else is apparently damaged apart from bruising but he will be in much pain for a while and will be in RNSH for some time with a lengthy period of recovery ahead. Please pray for his full and speedy recovery as he has his own business and is unlikely to be fully functional for a number of months to come. He is in surgery tonight.

Thanks Vanoosh :o)
