18:30 Community

What's happening in the 18:30 community...

Friday, October 07, 2005

Proverbs 31 says “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”

Imagine… the power of God working through a community of women.

Visible to the outside world by their love for each other, their united faith, and unique hope. A light to the world, and a stable foundation of support for the greater St Matts community.

This is our vision for the St Matts women. The Girls Night In events are an opportunity for you to be involved in that vision.

The next GNI event is on Friday 14th October (8pm in the function room). Sarah Dunbar, the 2004 NSW Young Australian of the Year and missionary extraordinaire will be joining us to share stories of her amazing experiences abroad.

Why should I go to the GNI events?

1. To serve other women. The GNI events are first and foremost an opportunity for you to GIVE… To give love, encouragement, a word of wisdom, a hand of friendship.

2. To be taught by a Godly Christian woman. To be challenged and encouraged by what you hear. To be inspired and gain the courage to change your life in ways that please God. Not for the half-hearted!

What to expect?
There is time for catching up over a coffee and for welcoming newcomers. We then hear a talk by our guest speaker, after which we pray together. The night finishes by 9:30pm, but many stay for some more discussion afterwards…

If you have any questions or want to get involved… email girlsnightin@gmail.com, or grab one of us on Sunday night – Mars, Rach Williams, Jen Barry, Vanoosh, Kat Baldwin.
